Nike launch Chelsea’s 2021/22 Third Kit

Following on from their eye-catching home jersey and the prominent yellow colour of their away kit, Nike and Chelsea launch the release of the club’s 21/22 third shirt. Inspired by Nike ACG, the jersey reflects the youthful and daring nature of the London club’s identity in the present.

The ominous green and black is adorned with a contrasting crimson, helping to add a vibrancy which reflects the newfound zest involved around the club, fresh off a Champions League triumph and a squad full of experienced veterans and promising youngsters.

Inside the jersey, we can see the ‘Pride of London’ logo sitting proudly as a reminder of the club’s inherent values and their status in the city.

Nike worked closely with Chelsea fans involved in the fashion industry to inform the American corporation on the design for the jersey. As a result, the shirt can be seen to pay homage to the renowned London streetwear aesthetic, whilst simultaneously featuring the themes and print synonymous with Nike’s ACG brand.
