Once again debuting Nike’s newest apparel tech, Barcelona’s latest collaboration has introduced DRI-FIT ADV across a collection of training gear and casual wear. Expected to feature in each of Nike’s World Cup 2022 kits, the follow-up to vaporknit technology is engineered for sweat absorption and breathability.
The designs themselves take inspiration from Barca’s 1992 away strip (originally produced by MEYBA), implementing a vivid orange / blue contrast spanning each piece in the collection. A stand-out piece, Barcelona’s new pre-match shirt provides a nod to fans with a chequered graphic made up of the word ‘Culers’- a nickname for supporters of the club.
Notably, the emblems across each item released have been reimagined- sporting a layered aesthetic that subtly revamps both the infamous ‘swoosh’ and Barca’s iconic badge.
The entire collection includes all-age sizing tees, tech-fleece hoodies, training tops, and jackets. Keep an eye out for similar designs as the World Cup comes around- there’s no doubt Nike will provide some of the coldest kits of the tournament.
