Streaming giant Netflix has released the first trailer to their long-awaited documentary, ‘Neymar: The Perfect Chaos’; an in-depth analysis of one of sport’s most iconic, and controversial, figures.
ㅤ
Hitting screens on January 25th, the three-part docu-series will showcase the Brazilian starlet’s rise from Santos wonder kid to PSG world-beater, whilst permeating through his glory days in Catalonia and his memorable international career.
ㅤ
Yet, the intensity of Neymar’s individual brilliance inside the touchlines has always been matched by the relentless media scrutiny regarding not only his unorthodox playstyle, but controversy outside of the pitch. The polarising nature of the Brazil international can be highlighted by Neymar’s own analogy in Netflix’s official teaser, labelling himself ‘Batman’ to his inner circle, and ‘The Joker’ to people who don’t know him.
ㅤ
Directed by David Charles Rodrigues, the documentary will feature interviews with names such as David Beckham, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé, aiming to unfurl the character, and legacy, of one of the most divisive players of the modern era.
